Adria Hodas

Health Services

Adria Hodas joins Perkins School for the Blind as the Nurse Manager, overseeing operations of the Health Services, after 30 years of specializing in providing health care for people with developmental disabilities. Her activities in her previous positions have included clinical care, consultation, administration and staff training.

Adria has a BA in psychology from Simmons College, a MS in nursing from Pace University and is a certified family nurse practitioner. She has published chapters on the nurse's role in care of adults in both editions of the text Medical Care for Children and Adults with Developmental Disabilities and co-authored "Implementation of an Interdisciplinary Psychotropic Drug Review Process for Community-Based Facilities" published in the journal Mental Retardation. Over the years Adria has been a member of multiple state-wide committees and advisory boards on health care for people with developmental disabilities including two appointments to the Department of Mental Retardation advisory boards on health care.
