David Morgan
Perkins Products
General Manager
David Morgan joined Perkins as the General Manager of Perkins Products in 2005. He is responsible for all aspects of the Perkins Products Division, including strategic planning, operations, manufacturing, research and development, and sales and marketing. He also oversees the manufacturing operation of Perkins’ product assembly plants in India and South Africa.
David and his team were instrumental in the development of the Next Generation™ Perkins Brailler®. This new device is more portable and easier to use than the classic Perkins Brailler®, but retains all of the attributes that make it the most widely used braille writer in the world.
Prior to this position David was President of Laurier, Inc., a U.S. semiconductor equipment company and Vice President of Operations of Bostomatic Corporation, a division of Agie-Charmilles Group, which specializes in the manufacturing and sales of high-speed machining centers for aerospace, telecommunications, and technology industries. He has held several other engineering and manufacturing leadership positions at technology companies.
David received an MBA from the University of New Hampshire Whittemore School of Business and a BS in Business Management from Daniel Webster College. He also completed doctoral coursework in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Morgan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership, which work in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce to strengthen the global competitiveness of U.S. manufacturers.
