- You can download digital audio books through our new Unabridged service. We have many young adult and juvenile books available. Also, check out our Braille Awareness Kit and Museum Passes.
- Stumped by a difficult homework question? Contact our reference librarian and make use of our Reference Services. We are here to help!
- Love movies, newspapers, and music? Sign up for our Audio Described Videos! We have tons of kids and young adult movies that you can watch on your VCR which provide narration of a program’s key visual elements. These descriptions are heard during the natural pauses in dialogue. You can listen to the newspaper over the telephone through our Newsline service, and you can receive scores and music lessons by signing up for our Special Music Services.
- Don’t forget to sign up for our Summer Reading Program! From June 26 – August 18, find out What’s Buzzin’ @ the Perkins Braille & Talking Book Library. You will receive prizes for the books that you read!
- Resource Packets about braille and Laura Bridgman, the first deafblind woman to be educated in the U.S., are available by request or download. More information about Helen Keller is also available.
Contact the Children and Youth Services Librarian for more information about any of these services!
